1940 Ford Super
Deluxe Coupe
Certainly a rare find indeed. Not a barn find, not a garage
find, but a dealership showroom find. This car has been sitting
in a dealership showroom since 1961! It is from the estate of Ed
Martin from Indianapolis, IN. He was the owner of Ed Martin Auto
Group in Indianapolis and Anderson, IN. There are only 11,431
miles on this car. It was barley driven a hundred miles in the
last 45 years. It has the original drivetrain consisting of a
flathead V8 and three speed transmission. It runs and drives
fine however as should be the case the tires are flat spotted
from sitting all of those years. The car was restored sometime
before 1961. The paint is checked and flaking off in places. The
interior is in excellent condition. The radiator even sports a
hole for the crank start however is has an electric starter
motor. We believe the most value this car has is in the
undercarriage. It is in amazing condition. $34,995.
